Fairford Green - June 2026 Update

The New Homes Reach the Finish Line
Phase 1 is approaching completion, with the estate's infrastructure now largely in place. The base course of tarmac has been laid across the roads, giving the development its permanent road layout for the first time, while external landscaping continues and will be finished in the coming period. On the ground, occupation is now underway: Plot 15 is occupied, and owners of Plots 2, 3 and 14 are due to move in this month. Plots 16 and 17 are sold, with move-in dates approaching. The remaining plots continue to be finished individually as sales complete, giving Phase 1 a steady, rolling rhythm of handovers rather than a single completion point.

Phase 1 is approaching completion with several new home owners moving in this month.
Coln House Rises Toward Completion
Coln House has passed several key milestones. All original windows have now been replaced or refurbished, restoring one of the building's most distinctive heritage features, and the scaffolding that has covered the front elevation for some time has been dismantled, revealing the restored façade. The new build elements are climbing quickly: House 5 has reached roof level, as has the kitchen extension to House 1, bringing both structures into their final external form. Internally, the building has moved decisively from shell to fit-out: all walls are built, new staircases are installed, and first fix plumbing is well underway throughout, setting up the next stage of internal finishing.

Applestone Clears the Way
At Applestone, soft strip works are nearing completion, stripping the building back in preparation for its refurbishment. Partial demolition has already taken place, and with the necessary bat licence now secured, the remaining demolition can proceed without further delay. Once this final phase of demolition is complete, attention will turn to internal works, marking the start of Applestone's rebuild in earnest.

Staff Cottages Taking Shape
The two new build plots at the Staff Cottages have reached joist level, with garages fully built and roof trusses installed, giving both plots their defined form and roofline. Across the four existing cottages, soft strip works are complete and the small annex buildings have been demolished, clearing space for the planned extensions. Footings for these extensions have been dug and are due to be poured shortly, marking the first structural step in the cottages' next stage of development.
