Canynge Place – Construction Snapshot: June 2026

Work at Canynge Place is in its final stages as the conversion of Somerset House approaches completion. Activity across both wings is now focused on finishing, snagging and commissioning, with the building steadily moving from construction site to residential address.

Finishing Works Across Both Wings

Flooring to the west wing communal areas is complete, with tiling and screeding finished to a high standard throughout. The east wing communal areas are following close behind, with tiling continuing and decorating underway. Second fix to communal areas is complete, and an OpenReach install to the west wing has been carried out. A fire curtain has been installed, with plastering and ceiling works completed alongside it.

External Works and Final Preparations

Cladding to both the east and west wings is imminent, with materials on site and works due to commence shortly. Render to the undercroft areas is scheduled to begin, and concrete bases for external protection barriers are complete. New garage doors have been installed, and the site is progressing toward its final external finish.
