Lee Bay - Construction Snapshot: April 2026

At Lee Bay, construction is advancing on multiple fronts simultaneously, with activity now concentrated across both the external envelope and the internal fit-out of the apartment block. The site remains highly productive, with trades working in parallel across a growing number of plots as the development moves through its later stages.

Roofing and external masonry

The roof is taking its final form across the building. Tiling is complete on the south elevation and well underway on the north, with insulation, battens and counter battens progressing on the west elevation roof. The chimney section on the south elevation is also under construction, with specialist feature brickwork now approved and materials on site. Stonework continues across all elevations, with masons focused on the north and south elevations and the first floor terraces, giving the building's external character an increasingly finished quality.

Internal fit-out across the apartment block

Inside, the later plots are now in active fit-out. Electrical first fixes are underway in apartment 9, with second fixes progressing in apartments 6, 14, 15 and 16. Mechanical pipework is advancing through the communal areas, with first and second fix works running concurrently across several plots. Kitchens have been delivered to plots 12 and 15, with installation scheduled imminently. Bathroom tiling is complete in plots 15 and 16, and sanitary ware second fix is underway. Plant rooms are being commissioned in the more advanced apartments.

Decoration, drylining and finishing works

Wall and ceiling boarding is progressing through plots 12 and 13, with tape and jointing active in plots 3 and 12. Decorators are applying mist coats to plot 4 and preparing surfaces across plots 5, 6, 14, 15 and 16. Carpentry second fix work continues in plots 4 and 5, alongside patressing works across the wider apartment block. With finishing trades now established across a significant portion of the building, the pace of visible interior progress is set to increase considerably in the weeks ahead.
