Gatcombe Orchard - Construction Snapshot: April 2026


First Homes Reaching Completion
Plot 13 is working through its final snag items ahead of certification and inspection, with handover imminent. Plot 14 has been painted and is receiving its kitchen fit, and decoration and kitchen installation are planned for Plot 15 shortly. Final snags are being addressed on Plots 16 and 17, marking the closing stages of work across the first phase of homes.

Internal Works Advancing Across the Site
Plots 9 to 11 have been pre-plastered and their rear gardens prepared for fencing, with the courtyard to the front of these plots now underway. Drylining is progressing on Plots 18 and 19, while Plots 24 to 27 are receiving first-fix plumbing and carpentry, with scaffolding removal and pre-plaster works planned for those plots in the period ahead.

External Areas Taking Shape
Paving remedials are underway to Plots 1 to 3, and tarmacking to the site entrance is planned imminently, marking a visible improvement to the development's overall presentation. Preparatory works for street lighting and service connections for Courtyard 2 are also due to begin, alongside construction of the retaining wall, which forms part of the broader groundworks framing the communal spaces.
