Market Quay Development: March Update
Construction at Market Quay in Falmouth is progressing steadily, with significant changes now visible on-site. The first phase of demolition is complete, and the second phase is well underway, clearing the way for new foundations to be dug. Meanwhile, installation of the Ground Source Heat Pump system has started—a major milestone in the project’s sustainability credentials.

Coordination with utility providers is also advancing smoothly, ensuring that essential infrastructure work stays on schedule. These upgrades are crucial as the site transitions to the next phase.

The project team has successfully navigated key structural challenges, including the reinforcement of the neighbouring business’s party-wall. Temporary supports have now been installed, and work is progressing on integrating them into the permanent design for long-term stability.

Site logistics remain a priority, particularly around piling and groundwork. The team is actively managing sequencing challenges related to access and scheduling to minimise disruptions.

While the timeline has required careful adjustments, work is continuing to move forward. Structural designs are nearing completion, and upcoming work on the Market Street elevation will establish key access points. Each milestone brings the development closer to the next stage.

Activity on-site continues to ramp up, the coming months will bring significant progress and we look forward to sharing further updates as construction advances.
