Gatcombe Orchard - Construction Snapshot: November 2025
Work continues across the site at Gatcombe Orchard, with most trades now focused on final-stage activity within the later plots. While progress has temporarily slowed in certain areas due to subcontractor availability, a number of homes are nearing final internal finishes, and external remedial works are preparing the development for its next visible shift.
Gatcombe Orchard: Then and Now
Below you can clearly see how far this project has come. While last year we were still in the early stages of the first homes, we’re now moving them through final works, with interiors nearing completion and external areas being prepared for the next phase.
Internal finishing works and preparations for handover
Decoration and final fit-outs are underway on Plots 12 to 17, with electricians, plumbers, and carpenters currently working through final snag items across various homes. Plot 8 is being prepared for handover, subject to exchange. Heating has now been activated in all homes, and windows are due to be installed to Plot 11 shortly. Rear roof work on Plots 9 to 11 is also planned in the upcoming period.
External areas taking shape
Activity is building across the site’s communal spaces. Ground preparation is underway for the landscaping and final street layout, setting the scene for a well-finished public realm. While attention remains on completing key structural work in Courtyard 1, momentum is expected to return to Courtyards 2 and 3 as sequencing allows. With core trades now active across multiple plots, the next visible transformation is not far off.
